Pricing, parking, payment, access from Anglet or Bayonne, how long it takes… If you're wondering, we probably answered it here. Otherwise, hit us up on Instagram or by email at porradabarbershop@icloud.com.
Yeah, we mostly run on appointments via Planity, and that's what we recommend. Online booking is free, takes 30 seconds, and locks in your slot — you pick your barber (Mitch or Djo), your service, your time. Walk-ins are still possible if a slot opens up, but it's rare on Saturdays or in high season. Don't waste a trip — block a slot ahead, even the night before is fine.
All prices are public, fixed and posted on Planity. Classic cut (wash + cut + style): €25 in 30 min. Old-school straight-razor shave: €23 in 30 min. The hair + beard combo: €45 for 1 hour of full ritual. Sharp finish between cuts (revive the beard, clean the edges): €12 in 15 min. Reduced rate for students 16+, military and combat-sport license holders: €21 on proof.
A barbier is the traditional French word: a hairdresser specialized in men's cuts and beard care — trim, fade, blade shave. A barber is the Anglo equivalent, popularized by US/UK culture: street vibe, rituals (hot towel, pre-shave oil), influences from hip-hop, boxing and skate. At Porrada, we claim both hats: traditional craft (straight razor, precise hands) served in a raw, masculine barber aesthetic. Mitch and Djo are UFC fans, the playlist swings between French rap and US beats, ODJI (our stuffed boar) keeps watch. Walk in like a locker room, walk out like a ring corner: clean.
Yes, free, easy parking on-site at Village Iraty, right in front of the Aldades building. It's a major edge of our location: park without circling, without paying, 30 seconds from the shop. Entry is via the north side (door 25, 1st floor). Coming by transit: downtown Biarritz is 10 min by car, several bus lines serve the Iraty area.
A big chunk of our regulars come from outside Biarritz: Anglet (10 min), Bayonne (15 min), Saint-Jean-de-Luz (20 min), Bidart, Capbreton, Hossegor. Our spot at Village Iraty is intentionally off the city center: direct access from the A63 (Biarritz-La Négresse exit), free parking, zero hassle. From Anglet, take the D810 toward Biarritz and turn off on Avenue de Migron. If you're after a barber on the Basque Coast without the downtown hassle, we're the practical pick — parked fast, cut fast.
Card, contactless, cash. Payment happens at the shop after the service — no upfront payment via Planity (online booking is free and non-binding). No need for exact change, we make change. For recurring appointments, we don't take multi-brand gift vouchers yet — we're working on in-house gift cards, ask at the shop.
Each slot is calibrated to the service: classic cut 30 min, old-school shave 30 min, hair + beard 1 hour, sharp finish 15 min. We respect the time announced: not rushed between rounds, not dragging on. On the hair + beard combo, the full hour covers wash, cut, style, hot towel, pre-shave oil, straight razor, soothing balm and finish. You walk out clean, on time.
We take young guys from age 16 only — below that, the shop isn't suited to our barber protocols. The 16+ student rate at €21 applies from 16 with proof. Booking via Planity like for an adult, 30 min slot.
We offer a reduced rate of €21 (instead of €25) on the classic cut, for three profiles: military (gendarmes, firefighters, active or reserve military), combat-sport license holders (boxing, MMA, judo, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, savate…) and students 16 and up. The rate applies on proof at the shop: valid student ID, military card or federation license. No other condition, no specific day, no cap. It's our way of saying thanks to those who get up early, those building their future, and those stepping into the ring.
